2020, What a Crazy Ride!
2020, What a crazy ride! This challenging year is drawing to a close, one that has brought unexpected situations to all of us. But instead of focusing on the downsides, here at Fuel we would like to review all the great things this year has had in store for us!
El Gringo 2020
Earlier this year, we embarked on a three-day adventure in the Tabernas desert in Almeria, Spain. Many spaghetti westerns were filmed here in the ’70s; it’s scarcely inhabited and hardly traveled, so what better scenario for an adventure than this!
Scramblers and custom bikes came together, and we covered over 500 kilometers on terrain and road together in breathtaking landscapes, ranging from dusty roads to snow-covered mountains. El Gringo was a trip through amazing and unique places in an unexplored part of Spain and set the stage for many new experiences and memories.
Expanding the Fuel Family
Despite the setbacks 2020 has brought on, the Fuel Family has grown and expanded to new territories and countries. We are proud to announce that we are now present in 20 countries, and our gear can be found in more than 80 stores! And if your country isn’t represented, fear not: our online store ships worldwide and is open 24/7.
Growing Our Community
In a year like this, we’ve seen that what matters most are the people around us. A highlight for us in the Fuel team has been all the photos and videos you have shared with us of our gear in action.
While we haven’t been able to do much traveling in 2020, we have been given the opportunity to explore our own backyard. We’ve seen your awe-inspiring images from dusty deserts, lush forests, snowy mountains, and beautiful landscapes, which enabled us to dream of future travels and mapping out new paths. It has also been an excellent opportunity to renew our gear and do some much-needed maintenance work on our bikes.
The Fuel community has grown a lot this year, and we want to thank every one of you for your support this year. It leaves us optimistic for the year to come!
Developing and Launching New Fuel Gear
2020 has been a creative year: we have launched the Rally Marathon range, inspired by the Paris Dakar rally, and designed for riders who wish to ride from sunrise to sunset, no matter what the weather. The color palette reflects a bygone era and is inspired by sand and mountain hues, a nod to the nostalgia of old that has never been safer or more stylish.
We have spent plenty of time at the drawing board this year, and we look forward to sharing more news with you in 2021!
SCRAM Africa
One of the highlights of the year and something we were counting down the days to was SCRAM AFRICA. This crazy adventure for scramblers and customized bikes was planned to take place in spring, but due to the current events, we, unfortunately, had to cancel.
But the Fuel Team and community don’t throw in the towel that easily. We are happy to announce that the dates are confirmed for SCRAM 2021! This epic adventure, the 9th edition and the last one of its kind will take place from April 27th to May 7th. If you haven’t signed up for this life-changing adventure, you can do so here (link).
